Hi-Touch Imaging Inks Deal with Fry's Electronics
 
Hi-Touch Imaging Technologies today announced a deal with Fry's Electronics to expand its retail presence on the west coast. The Hi-Touch line of digital HiTi Photo Printers and consumables will be available at Fry's 23 super stores this week. Fry's rang up over $1.5 billion in consumer electronic sales last year throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Texas and Hi-Touch is expecting a significant boost in their sales volume as a result of the deal. With the addition of Fry's distribution to Hi-Touch's existing channel of over 250 camera and specialty stores, the company's HiTi Photo Printers and consumables now enjoy broad availability throughout North America.
With the popularity of home photo printing increasing among consumers, Hi-Touch is positioning itself as a major player in the digital printing arena. Their 4x6 dye-sublimation printers offer the ability to create affordable lab-quality photo prints with dye-sub technology that cost tens of thousands of dollars not long ago. Dye-sub photo prints offer higher quality and greater durability than inkjet prints. Hi-Touch also offers the most economical consumable costs in the industry: Just 40¢F per print. That's about half the cost of most other digital printing solutions.
