| Step 1. |
Open a pre-designed JPG file in RGB Color (can be checked under "Image" -> "Mode")

Use "Magic Wand Tool" to mark a transparent area (The tolerance value can affect the size of the marked area)

Switch to "Channels" option and click the right bottom icon to "Create New Channel".

| Step 4. |
Go to "Select" -> "Inverse" and "Edit" -> "Fill". Choose "White" under "Use" option. The black area will be the transparent area on the template.

Save as a new file and select "TIFF" from the format drop down menu.
